What is a Biological Dentist?
By Dr. Harold Ravins, DDS
In the United States, the medical profession recognizes the connections between gum and heart diseases. In other parts of the world, medical professionals will not treat a patient before dental problems are resolved. In my many years of clinical private practice, I have witnessed first-hand the connections between infections of the gums, teeth, and jaws, to many medical problems. A lack of biocompatibility among restoration materials used in fillings also links to disease. As a result, the biological dentist goes out of the usual and customary way to make sure what is placed in a patient's mouth will not affect their health.
